Dinosaur Head in Dukes Creek

While shooting at Dukes Creek Falls with my buddy Ian a few weeks ago, that golden pool of reflected sunlight caught my eye. We were deep in a gorge which was almost entirely in shade, but the sun was high enough that it was lighting up the trees at the top of the gorge. This puddle reflected that light nicely. I was working on a composition trying to figure out something that would make the puddle more interesting and being stuck on an observation platform 20 feet above the puddle wasn’t helping. I finally gave up and sat down to see if anything worked, and this shape jumped out at me from the LCD.
